Meta brings 3D avatars to Instagram, rolls out new options for Facebook and Messenger

Meta is bringing 3D Avatar to Instagram's story and message. This new and updated 3D avatar feature is coming to Instagram as well as Facebook and Messenger.

Cochlear implants and hearing aids of various colors have been added to this new update of Meta. The update also includes a wheelchair that can be used in Messenger, Facebook, and Instagram chats, stories, and messages.

Meta has also adjusted various facial shapes to make the avatars look more real. Meta reports that many more new additions are coming to the Avatar editor.

"We have started experimenting with digital clothing. This avatar can be used on Quest, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. There will be a time when avatars will be much more photorealistic and expressive, "said Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta.

This new update will allow the same avatar meter to be used on all platforms. If you make a change in the avatar from any one app, the change will be seen in all the apps.

However, if a user wants, he can set different avatars for each platform. Meta is optimistic that avatar or avatar management will be easier as a result of providing the same avatar usage feature for basically all platforms.

Meta is partnering with the NFL to give the favorite team a chance to support before the Super Bowl. From today until February 26, users will be able to show support to the team of their choice between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams through avatars. Again, for those who do not want to pick a team, there is a neutral Super Bowl LVI shirt.

"VR and Quest are going to be a core part of Metaverse, but we call Metaverse an interconnected digital world," said Igerim Shoerman, Meta 's General Manager for Aviators and Identity, in a blog post about Meta' s new addition. Let's see where the common platforms like mobile computers - as well as VR and AR, will act as the main bridge. "

He added: "This is just the first step towards making our goal a reality. We hope you (users) can use your new virtual shelf to present yourself online. ”

The first avatar feature was added to Facebook in 2020 to compete with Snap's bitmoji. This feature has been updated over time. Meta is providing regular updates to keep up to date with avatars and real entities as much as possible.

From now on, users in the United States, Canada, and Mexico will be able to use their virtual rights in stickers, posts, profile pictures, and more. However, Meta did not say when this feature will be available on all platforms worldwide.
