Facebook Messenger launches new end-to-end encryption features, adds Snapchat-style screenshot notification


Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has said that those who leaked screenshots of various chats on Facebook Messenger will no longer be able to secretly take screenshots. Messenger's new feature has already been launched in the United States. Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post on Thursday (January 26th) that Messenger had a new update that would notify a user if a user took a screenshot of another user's chat.


Zuckerberg added that new updates are coming to Messenger's end-to-end chatting. If someone takes a screenshot of the disappearing message, you will receive a notification. Zuckerberg also included in the post a screenshot of a conversation between him and his wife, Priscilla Chan.

The announcement came from Zuckerberg shortly after the latest Facebook Messenger update. He said that according to the new update, users will be able to determine if their messages disappear after a while.
